Öykü Kareyel was born in 20 August 1990 in İstanbul and finished department Theater atIstanbul University State Conservatory.
In her final semester, she was selected to act in “Güzel Şeyler Bizim Tarafta” (The Good Things Are On Our Side) and she attracted many directors and producers with her performance.
With her performance she won the the Sadri Alışık Movie and Theater School Awards which was held by the Organization of The Turkish Theater Critics.
In 2014, she had a role in “Katil Joe” (Killer Joe) which was produced by Tiyatro In, and following that year in 2015, she played another role in “Kara Para Aşk” (Black Money Love). And had the main role in “Kuzey Guney” together with Kivanc Tatlitug.

She also acted in a Zeki Demirkubuz movie called “Bulantı” (Nausea), and in “İşe Yarar Bir Şey” which was directed by Pelin Esmer where the effects of war on the people was the storyline.
She is also the main actress who portrayed Eylül, the trouble teenager who became a doctor and met with her life coach in the same hospital after years in Kalp Atisi (Heart Beat).
Finally she met with the viewers with the character “Dilruba” in the Ottoman era Turkish series “Muhteşem Yüzyıl Kösem” (Magnificent Century: Kösem).

She is considered as one of the talented actresses of the modern Turkish television series and movies world. Her acting is natural and she is not making the audience understand and realize she is really acting, but she is putting her soul in the role and the character. Her trademark eyes are one of the most attractive parts of her body and personality. She is also considered as one of the future starlets of Turkish movie and television series industry.
